Trivago is a well known website that can be used to find cheap hotels from different sources. Trivago is owned by Expedia which puts Trivago into a bit of a compromising position. Trivago is supposed to be a completely independent hotel comparison tool, but it’s owner, Expedia Group, also owns a number of the hotel booking sites listed on Trivago (for instance Hotels.com, Expedia, Venere etc). But let’s put that aside and see where we can get cheap hotel pricing.
When you do a search for a hotel on Trivago, it compares hotel booking site pricing with the prices offered on the hotel chain websites, like marriott.com, hilton.com, hyatt.com and starwoodhotels.com. I’ve recently been using Trivago to see how to get cheap hotels by comparing hotel prices offered on Trivago vs the prices you can get on Marriott.com. Let’s look at the Trivago vs Marriott.com cheap hotels results.
